We give you another feedback mechanism to add to the information you need to effectively run your business.

The real value for you lies not so much in our review of your Store, but in the individual reviews submitted by your customers over time.

How to Request a Review of Your eBay Store

Linking to the Review of Your Store

Benefiting from your review on our site comes free of charge to you. Once your review is posted on this site, we kindly ask and strongly encourage you to post a link to the review on your eBay Store pages, in your Checkout messages, on auction listings, etc.

This will encourage your existing customers to submit their own unbiased reviews of your eBay Store, and it will give your prospective buyers the opportunity to review what others have said about your eBay Store.

Including a link to your Store's review and ratings in the sidebar of your eBay Store is a very aesthetically pleasing way to link to your review. Something like this:

To do that, create a new Promotion Box, select "Left navigation - upper" for the Location, "Custom Text/HTML" for the Promotion Box Type, name the promotion box, put a check mark next to Display Title Bar and Border, type in a title such as "Store Ratings", and then paste the following code into the text box:

Navigate to the review of your Store on this site, then copy the URL from the browser address bar and then, in the code above, replace URL-of-your-review-on-this-site with the full URL (do not remove the quotation marks in the code).

Click the Save button on the promotion box creation screen of your Store and you're done.

Store Rating Scores

The scores next to rating categories like Product Selection, Customer Service, etc., are calculated from the ratings given by individual reviews. Note that those scores are not assigned by the site staff when we write our initial review of your eBay Store. You'd want to check back regularly on your Store's rating because the scores change with every new review that's submitted against it by buyers. It will also be worthwhile to read the comments left by the buyers.

Communication

We strongly encourage you to monitor the reviews of your eBay Store submitted by customers and other people. If you notice any submission that violates your civil or commercial rights, or that you deem to be illegal or inappropriate, please notify us immediately via our Contact Form.

You may also directly answer submitted reviews by filling out only the text box portion of the review submission feature and leaving all the score selections at zero. That way your submission will be a comment only and will not affect your Store's ratings.
